REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANES

One common question is "How do you increase the gallon per day (gpd) capacity of the reverse osmosis membrane on a reverse osmosis system?"  This is accomplished by increasing the gallon per day production rate, which increases both the daily production capacity and the speed at which the reverse osmosis water is produced.  The production rate is determined by the specific membrane's capacity.  A change to a higher capacity membrane creates a higher membrane production rate, which enables the reverse osmosis storage tank to fill faster and keeps the unit from running out of water during times of heavy usage. 

Upgarding to a higher capacity membrane is simple on any standard reverse osmosis systems.  Just replace the current membrane in the system with the desired higher capacity membrane and the correctly sized capillary flow restrictor.  It is important to match the correct flow restrictor with the new membrane, this
ensures a proper ratio of waste water to product water. The proper ratio eliminates excessive waste and prevents premature membrane failure.

Conversion in 'non-standard' sized membranes are also easy.  To increase capacity simply replace your reverse osmosis housing and membrane with one of the standard sized ones listed below OR install one of the encapsuallated membranes listed below. 

NOTE: All manifold style systems must use the original size membrane that comes with the unit.
